Exercising or working on your body isn’t just healthy but also a wise thing to do for yourself. We store information in our heads and use our minds to make decisions. Beside reason and logic, fear finds shelter in our heads as well. The more we use our brains by asking questions and making difficult decisions, the smarter and healthier we become. It goes the same with our bodies. Our bodies are the home of courage, skills, and strengths. The more we exercise our bodies, the stronger and braver we become. Also, confidence and intuition is something we don’t find in our heads but rather in our core. How many times have you heard, listen to your gut feelings? There’s a reason why your “guts” and not your head.

If your body is weak, no matter how smart or intelligent you are, fear will take over logic in crisis times. As a former professional athlete, I have extended experience with performing. Under pressure, you’ll seek refugee where you spend your time the most, and for many people, that’s their heads. Panic will numb your limbs, and chaos will cloud your thinking if the body isn’t strong enough, and the courage doesn’t match the challenge you are facing. Us humans, the same as diamonds, we experience the most growth or progress under pressure or by overcoming obstacles.

Therefore, it is crucial to exercise and keep our bodies healthy, strong, and flexible. It is because we expect from ourselves as much as we believe in ourselves. We set and achieve goals based on our real strengths and skills and not based on what we want or what others think of ourselves. The stronger we are, the bigger the goals, and the higher the expectations we have from ourselves.

If we don’t regularly work on our bodies where our courage, strengths, and skills live, we might talk a big game, but we subconsciously don’t expect and believe that we can accomplish our goals. Therefore, if we’re not going to think and believe that we can, we will somehow bring that to reality.

While many don’t find time to lift weights, and since walking the dog has now become a form of exercising, we have started to witness an epidemic of failures, low self-esteem, and a lack of confidence. We need our bodies strong as we need our minds sharp. By engaging in regular workout regiments besides strengthening your body, you’ll experience an increase in confidence and courage. Consequently, you’ll start setting bigger goals and taking more risks. These are two main ingredients to a successful career and life.

For that reason, working out isn’t just right for your body, but also incredibly necessary for a bright future. A regular exercise routine is not only healthy but also a very smart thing to do. If you want to take your career and life to the next level, drop the excuses and start lifting weights. Feed yourself fewer lies and healthier foods.
